Well its been a fun first few days, after a brilliant starting event from Hyde Park on saturday no sooner had we got into Belgium and filled up, our fuel filler neck cracked and we started covering the forecourt with the 30 ltrs of unleaded we just put in. Some patch work got us limping to the Czech Republic and an incredible party in a medieval castle which marked the first and only checkpoint. Now its Ulaanbaatar or bust. We got the fuel tank properly fixed in Prague yesterday and we are now in Budapest trying to sort a few things out before pushing on to the Ukraine in convoy with Jen and Jo in the firey panda of mirth. We have been camping and sleeping in the car for the last few days so finding internet is difficult. The best way to keep up with goings on then is to check out the tracking SMS messages here on the rally website and look for Mongol Max messages....
